Innes Construction has an extremely high level of experience when it comes to large retail and strip malls. Some of our biggest repeat customers fall into this industry. Because of the amount of work we do in this industry, our employees are exposed to a wide range of building techniques, from precast construction, structural steel construction to wood frame construction.

Projects

MENARDS

Menards has been one of our bigger customers over the years in the large retail industry. Most of their buildings consist of a 210,000 square foot retail store and a detached lumber yard. All the retail buildings are roughly the same, but the outside yards will vary depending on the site. Over 35 years, we have successfully completed over 102 projects in 11 different states for them. These projects have ranged from a completely new building on a new site, to miscellaneous remodels in an open store. All these projects have had very aggressive schedules because Menards realizes how important even 1 day of sales can be. Out of the over 102 projects we have completed for them, we have never missed a scheduled date that they have given us. Our relationship with Menards is still going strong today.

HAPPY HARRY'S BOTTLE SHOP

Innes Construction has built multiple locations for Happy Harry’s. The locations feature 12,500 square feet of retail space. The buildings showcase exposed architectural glulam beams, with exteriors finished in red cedar siding and topped with cedar shake roofs, leading to the appearance of a classic red barn. Happy Harry’s Bottle Shops are recognized as premier liquor retailers in both Grand Forks and Fargo and their distinctive building design continues to set them apart within the communities they serve.

BEMOBILE STRIP MALL

This is a 45,000 square foot building, constructed with a structural steel and metal bar joist frame and wood framed walls with a brick veneer. BeMobile has been one of our best customers over the years and comes to us whenever they need work completed on any of their retail locations in the upper Midwest. No matter what the project calls for, we always try and take care of their needs, big or small.
